SproutHelp is a tool for organizing and communicating in relief efforts.

As hurricane Sandy has clearly shown, in a widespread disaster one of the biggest challenges is getting the right information to the right people. With so many areas and people affected, government help can go only so far and are focussed on the more critical needs. During these times many people will rally to help their fellow americans in need. But while there my be a great swelling of desire to help, knowing what the needs are and where they are located can be a huge challenge.

SproutHelp aims to address this problem by providing a simple web/twitter/sms app that uses geolocation to match those in need to those that are available to help.
