Deep Vs, baby. That’s what’s up.
Good market problem to solve. I am notoriously bad at estimates, so a tool like this to gut check would be great.
I’m really excited to see where you take this. This seems to make the most sense from a development standpoint so I’m curious how it would work in a production app.!
Great work. I <3 node-inline. Great decisions made for tools used. Readability, inline, command-line, #win.
As a user of grooveshark, I love this. If the mobile app and site could be connected in a more usable manner, I could totally see myself using this.
To make it more useful a browser extension would be needed. I think it should be an addition to the bookmarklet way in future. Thanks for your feedback and vote!
I’m not fully convinced of the use case for this. In my experience, everyone doing deployment has the code locally or has CI set up; but taking additional pain out of deployment is always a good thing.
Hi, thanks for the vote & feedback.
Where I want to go with this is to make it a purely web-based installer for apps. I didn't have enough time to go beyond basic deploy in the contest.
So if someone publishes an app on Github, it can be installed & configured 100% through the web. Imagine something like WordPress (but runs on a PaaS) - set up your own instance and configure it without any CLI whatsoever.
Excited that you built the tooling around CKEditor’s editor to allow live website editing. I could see this being a useful addition to blogging platforms like Wordpress. Disappointed that something as simple as rendering the carets and colors doesn’t work across browsers.
Reminds me a little of original GTA. Changing the lighting on the fly (as seen in the video) was rad. With some more work (single-player mode?) this could be a lot of fun.
The video was cute and I was looking forward to trying it, but I was unable to login as a guest. :(
Sorry about the guest login, maybe we miss something. Can you describe why you can not login as guest? Or you can try to refresh the page. :)
The few shows I tried it on pulled in all sorts of tweets. Dr. Who is apparently a bit too generic. With some more work I could see people using this—A Feed Apart for television.
I’ve always wanted to play as a ghost. Unfortunately this doesn’t work at submission and human logic far surpasses that of the programmed AI so i feel pacman is strongly outgunned in this scenario. Would be fun to see some additional advantages given to pacman to chase off the ghosts than the original game.
