I love building software and I'm a big fan of Node. We chose Node for Nomic's JSON api. When I started coding, things like UML took up a lot of time and "hackathon" was not in the vernacular. Much has changed for the better! Hackity, hack, hack, cheers!
I'd definitely give this a shot, though I'm going to need to understand the privacy policy better before letting it loose on our private code. One of the more polished entries I've seen. Would be great if i could integrate this with comments so that findings could be easily shared with teammates.
Thanks for the review! We have an update ready to go after the competition is over that we think will address the privacy issues many people are commenting about.
Integration with comments is a new idea. What exactly are you thinking you would put in the comments that it would look at?
Feels like a work of art, but it wasn't quite working (at least, I couldn't tell what was happening with the hex color selection). Nice tunes - makes a big impact. Hard to get a sense of how well the mechanics would work in an actual multiplayer game, but I'll give you guys the benefit of the doubt. Well done producing this kind of polish!
Does what it says. Wish others had been on so I could chat with them. Nice layout. Good job with help. Like the bookmarking. Felt solid, but no feature that made me go wow, though. I like the openness of irc, but does it rhave to stay 100% zero-formatted text?
The graph doesn't seem to actually be useful for navigation, even when I used the suggested terms. I searched for Obama, and then whatever I tap next in the graph leads me to the same two remaining nodes so there's some sort of bug there. I like the idea of better ways to combine browsing and searching. I like it a lot. Perhaps limiting the number of entries on the right and using some more traditional layout would be nice? (Do I really care what the actual distance is between two points? and as soon as I see stuff floating around, I think is this useful or geeking out with a graph?) Anyway, would love to see this after some refinement!
Unfortunately, the bookmarklet didn't work for me after several attempts. (first, it asks me to log in to webshelf again; then, after doing so, it gives me "Internal Server Error"; firefox and chrome). I like the flexibility of storage this gives me and how it makes good use of existing, common tools. Clever. Also, the inlining is cool idea, but it just didn't work for me -- tried several pages, including a pricing page from nodejitsu like in the example. The instructions and explanation were great. Straightforward. Felt like a real product, until it didn't work :-(. A sense of craftsmanship here!
It's an interesting idea. What are the biggest challenges going to be? I suspect competing with the polish and performance of native graphics which depend on native libs that there won't be bindings for. But what do I know about desktop apps... What's the killer app that can be built first that makes this seem worth it?
Seems like a good start and fun concept. There's definitely room in the world for the casual gamer's minecraft, IMO, and I like the idea. Wondering what that special something will be that makes me want to come back for more.
Does what it promises, even if it doesn't promise a lot. Made me laugh. I can see wasting some time on this in the office. Keep up the game making, guys!
Sounds sweet, but all I get is a familiar error: An error has occurred: {"code":"ECONNREFUSED","errno":"ECONNREFUSED","syscall":"connect"}
Cute graphics and the camouflage idea is original. I did not find the game fun, though. Perhaps authentication in isn't necessary to show off a game? (especially considering you had such a short time) Thanks for the entry! I did play until I was killed. Never found that flower!
No one online to play with -- would have been nice to be able to race agains the clock (or some anti-chroma chasing me).
Nice polish and interesting game mechanics. The demo doesn't do a great job of convincing me that the mechanics are actually fun, though -- where's the action packed nail biting finish race? :-)
Wish someone else had been online to play against!
