  Nice cards, but "this is a demo" is no excuse for not doing anything. This isn't a design contest, and this site lacks any functionality implemented in node.

    Im sorry you feel that way.

    The website's backend is written in node, as well as using Express and Handlebars to render the cards as well as the website.

    Also Express-expose to expose server-side logic.

    We unfortunately ran out of time at the end to implement the card sending using nodemailer.

  I like the idea, and the UI is also functional (+1 for Three.js), but I would have liked a way to actually find rooms with other users. That's why the site wasn't that fun for me.

  I feel like there is a better implementation of this with Google Hangouts. The site feels old, too. And I couldn't join a channel (on Chrome).

    yeah we were not trying to compete with hangouts. the goal is a bit different. to have a director and many actors play a part in a subject based improv room for all to enjoy.

    we didnt get to saving the video and a few other things.

    Okay, maybe I just didn't get it. I guess it can become pretty funny, but you would need to demonstrate it all the time, which can't be possible :P

    yeah if we keep working on it we will make the video available to the players in ordered segments and let the director pick the clips that become the saved final videos. thanks again for your time ill have to catch up on voting after work =)

  Really nice website, but using WebP instead of GIF would greatly improve this, as it also supports animations (that's why I don't feel like this is complete). When you're only supporting Opera and Chrome, then use their ability to display WebP. Plus, I feel like I've seen this before. It's fun, nevertheless :D

    We were not trying to build the best streaming solution. We just wanted to hack and demonstrate that you can have embedable-realtime-gifs... Imagine if twitter allowed to have avatars with a url, you could have a realtime avatar!
