Game got bogged down quite a bit during collisions with planets - granted, I'm on a laptop with integrated graphics, but in hte video, it looks like that framerate seems to lag then as well. (actually - at second glance I noticed you're not using WebGL, that seems like the best option for a game like this). I did like the physics simulation of the 'horses' with the planets' gravity affecting them.
Got an internal server error on the Twitter oAuth callback. Judging from the video, it looks like a fun, well-made game.
That happens occasionally for some reason. If you revisit the main page you may find that it did log you in. Your handle shows up in the top right hand corner of the screen. Try clicking that to re-log in....that error I think has to do with twitter oauth quotas... :-(
austinhallockWhen I revisit it I'm still not logged in, and trying to authenticate again results in the same. I'll try to remember to check back later!
I was able to recreate the internal server error. After you log in via twitter. Just go back to the root url (http://team-us.nko3.jit.su) and the game should come up after you "sign in again". I'm still not sure twitter isn't sending that data back.
austinhallockStill getting the same (though when I first visited today it had me logged in as @jasonmccloud, or some name like that). I guess this is good time to pitch something I'm a part of, Clay.io - we have an API that takes care of a few high level features for you like user accounts, leaderboards, achievements, data storage, social integration, etc. Shoot me an email if you want more info austin@clay.io
This is great! Simple graphics, but they look good, the concept is fun, and multiplayer is something I would play with friends -- it's just a matter of getting enough people to play at the same time (a problem we ran into with the multiplayer of http://slime.clay.io).
Looks good so far! Long-term it might be smart to have tutorial tips within the game, or even just a simple set of instructions on the game room page.
agreed.
Was easy to hop right in and understand what was going on (which is easier said than done, so props for that).
I feel like there should be an option for a custom answer, in addition to the pre-made ones - otherwise this would get boring very quickly, unless you had a very large selection to choose from, but if that's the case, there would probably be too mch variability to have a good choice of funny answers.
A nitpicky thing, I'd change up the colors to look like like bootstrap, I'm tired of seeing those buttons everywhere ;)
