I lol'd a lot. This is amazing and I hope you win.
Fun app. Would be nice if it did a better job calling my attention to the Chrome permissions bar for enabling the webcam, but that's my only (very small) complaint. Otherwise very entertaining :)
I actually had some code started for this feature, and I couldn't get it working in time unfortunately. I do agree though, it is confusing.
Thanks - I realized that UI was a little confusing but I couldn't really think of a better way to handle it at the time.
I didn't want to always assume that their 'allow' button would be in the same place (if I were to point an arrow to it). I guess we could have disabled the 'webcam' button until they had allowed access with getUserMedia - that probably would have made it better. It would be cool to see a really good example of a client side UI using getUserMedia.
An actually useful, functional, and interesting app! It seems like there are a few mis-located articles, but generally, I'm impressed. Would love the ability to page through articles that are all in the same vicinity.
Yes, we may have a few small data quality problems. :) Some kind of previous/next article paging was on our "possible features" list but didn't make the 48-hour cut.
Really fun idea, but none of the horses moved! Obviously it would be great if I could choose my own words to watch :)
Neat concept, but I didn't have much success getting it working. Tooltips on the various buttons would be great :)
I was able to log in with Github and choose a user to send a message to, but got a 500 error when trying to send a message :/
Thanks for trying. Sending message is something I tried hard but couldn't complete. I will clarify this in the description.
The first entry I've looked at that I might actually use :) Good stuff.
