Fun metric. I'm not sure how meaningful it is. Did you actually make this in 48 hours?
Thanks! It will be more meaningful soon - the depth of analysis was one of the corners we had to cut to finish it in those 48 hours.
Last year we overreached and ended up working all weekend for a broken deploy. This year we all became scope police, and that really helped.
I had the same idea, but didn't do it because it would take too long. It seems dangerous to run JavaScript on the other player's browser and even worse to run it on the server. I hope you don't do that...
Awesome design and well polished. It doesn't do anything new or useful though.
Interesting idea. Looks really well polished considering how many things normally go wrong during a hackathon.
Awesome! I made my own variation of Conway's game of life once and I have yet to release it, but I find yours more fun and strategic than mine. I think with enough practice people can figure out how to optimize their chances of survival and even learn how to produce gliders from common shapes or how to control gliders! This is my favorite entry :D
