I was intrigued by the idea but couldn't get it working...
Interesting concept, but unfortunately one char is useless by itself... No one else was there.
Didn't really expect to find this level of immaturity here.
You should definitely complete this. The idea sounds like it could be very valuable for programming language communities.
This is a genius idea. | |||
Sounds like a good idea, but I couldn't get it to work. It might be more fun if I could choose my own hashtag.
Pretty fun and original game. There are some bugs to work out though.
Works as advertised. UI could use more transition when zooming. Don't like how the images just jump to the new location.
Love the artwork! Game-play isn't too compelling though, and it didn't work in Firefox on Ubuntu for me (some canvas js error it looked like).
Unique idea, but without providing a way for customers to add branding to their status pages, I can't see anyone using this. Also, minus points for using document.location.reload when there's this cool library called socket.io :)
Pretty neat, but it was too slow for me to be really fun. The engine could use some work too (collision detection in particular).
Needing to upload music kind of reduces the usefulness but still a good idea. Would be nice to be able to sync publicly available music, like from Youtube for example. Adding playlists and a way for everyone to add to it would have been cool, but I imagine you didn't have time for that.
Yay, now I can cook things! I liked the video but it didn't work for me :( No suggestions loaded. Also, there's no way to clear the items without refreshing.
We're rill sorry about that. Our database was dropped by accident. Check back in a couple days and it'l back be up.
Thanks for the review!
Pretty nice game. The controls are a little frustrating though. And the controller screen could be utilized for more than just a fire button, maybe to activate power-ups and such.
Downloading or streaming didn't seem to work for me. Also, I'm not a dropbox user, but can't you already share urls to your stuff? Is making it anonymous the novel idea here?
Is this working right now? I tried a couple different phones but it didn't seem to load. From the video, it looked kind of cool but I couldn't really tell what was happening. Update: tried again and it worked. Co-op is probably necessary to really make the game engaging.
Thats the idea, just couldn't polish that feature in the time we had, we'll def keep working on it and that's one of the main priorities, thanks for the feedback.
Nice, I can see myself using this if there was a companion command line tool. Any plans for that?
I like this approach, but it seems like it would be limited in usefulness since it requires a plugin to be installed. For instance, no one was chatting when I tried it out.
404 when I try to view it. Based on the video though, it looks ok. Not sure I'd play it. Seems like it would be too easy since there's no way to actually lose money.
Very nicely designed. I love how elegant and simple it looks.
Thank you for your comment and vote!
Adding more RPG elements would definitely be cool :)
It's neat that you got this working, but unfortunately the idea isn't very interesting and has already been done in nodejs.
Has been done in Node? Could you send me the link/project name?
https://github.com/ether/etherpad-lite
Etherpad implements similar idea, but it's based on the same concept as Google Docs - it doesn't use contenteditable. So you can edit documents, but not parts of websites. This is a big advantage of CKEditor (which we used in EPIC) - check e.g. http://nightly-v4.ckeditor.com/3895/samples/inlineall.html
We'll update EPIC description because I see that we forgot to mention that. And that's pretty important, because syncing actions is relatively easy to syncing DOM :).
Gotcha, I'll up your ratings then :)
Thanks :)
Looks like it'd be useful. I'd have to try it out to get a good idea. The mobile layout was a little rough around the edges.
Looks like it works, but I'm not sure I would use this over something like Disqus.
Yeah. Disqus is awesome for blogs for example. easy to setup and easy to use :)
It's an ok game. I never did like Joust though.
Well I appreciate your vote even though our game isn't your thing! Very cool of you. P.S. I'm originally from the Green Bay area.
Cool idea indeed. It's kind of missing some features from github that would be useful though like diffs and stars and such.
No one was on to play with, but the idea sounds fun. It just needs to be completed with sound effects and more visual effects and maybe bot AI. Update: Wow, I got to play with some other people and this is really fun! Please finish it!
Nice idea that appears to work just fine, but I'm not sure there's enough to keep me draw me back. More filters would be nice, like language, location, etc.
That's actually a pretty cool idea and fun too :) I like it. Would be nice to add a contrast slider or something so the result can be adjusted if there's too much white.
Interesting concept. Personally I'm starting to favor command-line-like interfaces versus GUIs so this is pretty neat. Would be nice to quickly determine the current active task.
Nice. Didn't work for me in Chrome the first time though :(
Wish I had a Facebooks account to try it out :( It looks pretty well done.
I could definitely use something like this for Twitter.
Thank you chris for your vote!
Definitely will look forward to see you use it in the future and hear more feedbacks.
Needs some sound effects :)
I love the minimal UI. A great start.
Not sure if it works, but the rest is top notch. Great work.
I love Gary's response to jQuery :)
Yep! ;)
Gary actually prefers zepto:
http://gitcanary.com/madrobby/zepto
Not sure how useful this is...
This is a pretty cool idea! Most innovative I've seen so far.
Hi thanks a lot for your evaluation, take a look at the screencast I just published to see how to play with it.
Looks great! | |||
Hmm, I really wanted to try this out since it seemed similar to my entry, but it doesn't seem complete. Does it work?
