Can’t tell which side I was, and how to move the bar (the instructions says back and forth but left and right seemed to work better… unless it was my opponent?). Not sure about the appearing/disappearing explosion too, is it the ball?
Anyway, it needs some polish to be playable, but is there anything better than a head controlled pong?

contestantOops, idiom confusion! We meant left and right.
Appearing/disappearing explosion is because the server is dropping packets. We tested before the huge load was put on the node knockout servers, so we (incorrectly) thought it wouldn't be a problem.
Anyways, glad you enjoyed the idea! And there is, indeed, nothing better than a head controlled pong. We searched for weeks.

Clean design (lacks nickname coloration though). Not sure about the need to reimplement IRC commands without IRC server compatibility. Tab completion would be cool.

contestantI’m french but my keyboard layout is not azerty: it’s bépo, which is like Dvorak but it targets the french language. So maybe a few defaults for the majority (qwerty, azerty), plus customization for “difficult” users like me :-)
